Policosanol
$17.95
Policosanol is a substance that is taken from sugar cane and bees wax. It is a nutrient that is actually a potent form of sugar but yet it does not have any effect on your blood sugar levels. What it does do is lower your total cholesterol as well as your LDL or bad cholesterol. At the same time it can raise the HDL or good cholesterol so that the HDL levels can work at lowering your LDL levels. It does this by slowing down the cholesterol absorption of the bad cholesterol which in turn will keep you healthy and free from high cholesterol that can later cause a heart attack or stroke. Many people take Policosanol for other reasons as well because of its beneficial properties. It can treat a number of ailments such as hypercholesterolemia which is intermittent claudication or cramping of muscles particular when exercising or straining them in some way. It can also be used to improve your overall strength, energy and stamina which makes it appealing to many athletes. Policosanol has been known to treat herpes infections, Parkinson’s disease as well as some inflammatory skin disease. Used in the treatment of ALS, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis already, it has been found to be helpful for atherosclerosis as well. It may even slow down the build up of some lipids in fat tissue and increase the overall use of fat in the tissues. Numerous studies have been conducted on the overall effect of Policosanol for bad cholesterol and it is said to lower it by as much as 20% and raise the good cholesterol by as much as 10% which is significant for someone who is suffering from high cholesterol. At the same time it has been proven to fight off the formation of lesions in the arterial walls which also works to prevent against heart disease. This is because this nutrient is known as an anti-coagulant which works very similarly to aspirin in the way that it stops blood clots from forming. Policosanol is extremely effective and a wonderful way to help prevent some of the more serious diseases that can happen to you.
